Aaron Pickern for Mayor of Tampa

About

A Tampa native asking for the job

Every neighborhood. Rising together. That is the work, not a tagline for a downtown skyline shot.

I was born at St. Joseph’s. I have lived in Hillsborough my whole life except for military service. I am a Tampa resident. I got tired of watching this city get run into the ground, so I decided to do something about it. I am a married family man.

I am not asking you to take me on a slogan. Sit with me on flooding, housing costs, traffic, and the unglamorous basics: lights, sidewalks, trash, parks, and a city that calls back. Those fights are how you tell whether City Hall sees your neighborhood.

A mayor does not run the county, the interstate, or the state. I will not pretend otherwise. The job I want is the one the charter actually gives this city: the budget, the departments, the capital plan, and the habit of showing up in rooms other candidates skip.

This is a campaign site. It is not a civic project under another name. If you want to help, add your name, your email, your ZIP, and the neighborhood you call home.
